Did you know that most of the yoga practiced at Park Cities Yoga is in the form of one-on-one personal sessions?
Our personal sessions can be one-on-one or a small group of friends who choose to practice together.
If you would like to develop your personal yoga practice in a secure, private setting with an experienced, trustworthy teacher as your guide, or if you're looking for a yoga practice with therapeutic applications, contact us via e-mail or call Jeff at 214-350-2269.
Most personal sessions are taught by Jeffry Farrell.
Here's what Jeff has to say about these sessions:
These sessions allow you to identify specific areas that need attention. This means you can often achieve objectives in much less time, or effectively manage a chronic condition.
We set objectives together, and then devise a set of practices that can change and grow.
Applied practices range over the following and more:
Pain management, back care, musculoskeletal issues, recovery from horse falls, surgery, car wrecks, etc.
Chronic asthma, arthritis, head-aches, anxiety,
preparation for auditions, specialty performance, athletic try-outs, speeches, political campaigns,
issues of personal health, well-being and breath.
We always begin with observation of breath and the simplest practices.
We suggest practices to suit individual need as well as disposition, talents and temperament.
Traditional yoga practices of the gita observe primary values of breath, sleep, food & water, movement, and mind.
HELPFUL INFO:
*We are located upstairs. Enter the building between Arty Wear and Oreck Vacuums, or in the back between Citrus Bistro and Highland Park Cleaners. Go up the stairs, or take the extremely slow elevator. We are at the end of the hall, to the left of the stairs.
*We do not have changing facilities or a restroom inside the studio, but there are restrooms on the second floor available for your use.
*We ask that our clients participate in class in bare feet, and that no shoes are worn past the entryway of the studio. There are shoe racks, cubby holes, and coat pegs inside the front door for your belongings.
*Please turn off your cell phone before entering class.
*Latecomers: it's important to arrive on time in order to receive the full benefit of the practice. We are happy to start a session a few minutes late if necessary, but cannot always extend the class beyond the allotted time.
*Cancellations: Advanced payment is required for all personal sessions. Sessions canceled by the client less than 24 hours before the scheduled time cannot be refunded.
*You may want to bring a bottle of water to class. There is a water fountain on the second floor available for your use.
*Wear comfortable, non-binding clothing. You may choose to wear form-fitting clothing, rather than loose, bulky clothing, as excessive or loose fabric may limit your ability to do some of the postures. But the important thing is to wear what you are comfortable in. You will find what works for you as you develop your practice.
*If you did not complete a registration form in advance, please arrive a couple of minutes before your first class to complete one.
